Tsai Horng Chung

Tsai Horng Chung ( 1915-2003) also known as Chai Chung Ying , graduated from Shanghai Art Academic, 194o . Later in 1943, he came to Sarawak as a art teacher. Since then, he never go back to China. He was known for his traditional Chinese Art and Western painting style and was one of the most famous artist in Southeast Asia Region. Moreover, he was a pioneer poetry and musician as well. In 1953, “ Wave of Ocean” was published by Hong Kong publisher. His student is everywhere in Sarawak. His collections was over Malaysia, Singapore and other country. His classmate in Shanghai are also famous around the world and one of them is late Mr.Chen Shi Fatt ( Former Head of Shanghai Art Academic).
