Photo taken on 10 March 1990 in front of Mr.Ung’s house.

The owner (Right) bought from a dealer, Mr.Ung (Left) in Kuala Trengganu on 10/3/1990. The dealer acquired this Bronze (Gold Gilted) Dragon Spout from a group of fishermen from Kampung Takir, Trengganu. They net this antique from South China Seas.

Until now, the source of this piece of antique still remain unknown. The owner has seek for various expert in order to identify its origin. Some of the expert feel that it maybe come from Japanese Emperor ( 17th-18th Century, The Bunka Emperor). However, some other say there is also a possibility that this Bronze (Gold Gilted) Dragon Spout may be originated from Ming Dynasty or Ch’n Dynasty.

18-19 世纪日本天皇(文化天皇 ) 鎏金铜龙水注, 在丁加努,马来西亜收购到, 25寸x 20寸, 重25公斤. 物主(右)在1990年三月十日在Kuala Trengganu向一古文物中介人翁诗坤先生(左)收购到此鎏金铜龙水注. 他收买自Kampung Takir,一群渔夫在南中国海中捞到. 今物主在世界各国查不出来源,只有一台湾文物人士告知,很像18世纪日皇战舰之船头水注.同时在此铜龙之背后有一(文)字,另前爪边有(边和)二字. 同时附上购时同翁先生合拍及包装之照片. 然而, 也有文物界人士认为這铜龙水注也許起源於明朝或清朝. 直到現在，這鎏金铜龙水注的來源依然是未知.
